How much does makeup cost at Pucca Diana?

Accepted Answer

Bridal makeup is 600 RON, the trial 400 RON, and event, ball, festival, Halloween and anti-aging makeup 400 RON. The self-makeup course is 1000 RON. See the services page for details.

How long does bridal makeup take?

Accepted Answer

The wedding-day makeup takes around 90 minutes, and the trial around 60 minutes, depending on the look. With the trial done in advance, everything is already settled on the wedding day.

Do you do a trial before the wedding?

Yes. The bridal trial is when we test the look, the staying power and the shades, so the wedding day holds no surprises.

Do you travel to the venue or to my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I am based in Bacău, but I travel across Romania and abroad, for weddings, events, photo shoots and brand collaborations. I have worked in Romania, England and Spain, and I was invited as Head Makeup Artist at Miss England and London Fashion Week. The travel fee is agreed when you book, based on distance and duration. Is the self-makeup course for beginners?

Yes. I teach you step by step, on your own products and for your own face, even if you have never done your own makeup before.

How do I book an appointment?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is on WhatsApp. You tell me the date, the occasion and the location, and I confirm my availability and the details.

Will the makeup last the whole day?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Staying power comes from properly prepping the skin, professional products and setting, not from more product. It holds through emotions, photos and dancing, from morning to night.

Question 8

Why does foundation turn orange and how do you prevent it?

Accepted Answer

Some foundations can change shade after application. The product formula, the shade chosen and how the skin is prepped all matter. That is why I test how a product behaves on your skin, rather than choosing the shade from a sample alone.

I don't want to look too heavy. Can it be natural?

Accepted Answer

Of course. I build in thin layers, only where needed, with the shade matched to your neck. Skin stays skin, luminous, with no mask effect.

Will I look like myself or like someone else?

Accepted Answer

Like yourself, just more radiant. I start from your own features, and at the trial we adjust until you fully recognize yourself in the mirror.

What is the Makeup Refresh?

Accepted Answer

I build the morning makeup as a luminous base, for the ceremony and the photo session. In the evening I come back and take it further: I refresh the skin, intensify the eyes and the lips, for the light at the party. Most of my clients choose this option. Bridal makeup without a trial is also possible.

How much does brow shaping cost?

Accepted Answer

Shaping costs 70 RON, and shaping together with tinting 100 RON. It takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the state of the brows. I work with tweezers only, in a shape adapted to your face.

Where and when does the Makeup Refresh happen?

Accepted Answer

At the venue where you are, in the evening, before the party. It takes 20 to 30 minutes. It costs 200 RON separately, or it is included in the package with the trial and the Refresh.

Event or evening makeup is 400 RON, bridal makeup starts at 600 RON, and the self-makeup course is 1000 RON. All the prices are on the pricing page.

What makeup products do you use?

Professional products bought by me: YSL, Hourglass, Lancôme, Charlotte Tilbury, Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, Make Up For Ever, MAC, Nars, Huda Beauty, Makeup by Mario, Rare Beauty and Fenty. I am not a brand ambassador, so I choose by what holds up on skin, not by contract.

How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup?

Ideally about a year in advance. Bookings can be made a few months ahead too, but the window between a year and six months is the best. Especially if you have to be ready early or you have several people to book, it is good to talk in advance.

Are false lashes included in the makeup?

Yes, with any type of makeup, not only bridal. I use strip, half lashes or clusters, so we find a comfortable option even if you have never worn them. There are very small lashes, only on the outer corner, which show up in photographs but look natural.

Question 19

Can I cover blemishes, marks or scars?

Accepted Answer

Makeup evens out the colour of the skin beautifully, but it does not change its texture. Indented scars, enlarged pores or raised blemishes will show in certain lights. What we can do is even out the colour and the overall look, without loading the skin.

Do you also do the mother of the bride, the godmother or the bridesmaids?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as many people as you need, on the same morning, at the venue. You can make the bookings yourself, or give me their phone numbers and I will contact them.

What kind of event makeup do you do?

Accepted Answer

Christenings, civil ceremonies, banquets, coming-of-age parties, proms, graduations, engagements, parties, New Year's Eve, photo shoots, festivals or Halloween. Each has a different light and a different length, and the makeup is built differently for each. Event makeup is 400 RON.

Do I have to bring my own products to the self-makeup course?

Accepted Answer

You can come with your own products, to learn how to use properly what you already have at home, but you can also work with anything from my makeup artist kit, to discover new products and find out what each one is for. At the end you leave with a step-by-step visual guide and with the list of the products used and recommended.

Question 23

Do I become a makeup artist after the self-makeup course?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a self-makeup course, a one-to-one makeup workshop where you learn to do your own face. It does not end with a diploma or a certificate and it does not replace an accredited professional training course.

Question 24

Do you also do the mother-in-law?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I do the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, the godmother, both mothers-in-law and the bridesmaids, on the same morning, at the venue or at home. Each one gets makeup built on her own features, not the same look copied from one to the next. The makeup costs 400 RON per person.

Question 25

What do you do with small or hooded eyes?

I work with the eye open, not closed, because on a hooded lid a line drawn with the eye closed disappears completely when you look up. On small eyes I move the focus to the outer corner and to the lashes, I keep the centre of the lid light and I avoid a dark line all the way around, which makes them smaller. I build the liner short and lifted, not long and dropped.

Can dark circles be covered?

Yes, with a concealer chosen on your skin's undertone, applied in a thin layer and set just enough not to settle into fine lines. On mature skin I do not insist with a lot of product, because it gathers in the creases and ages the eyes. Deep circles can be brightened, but the shadow cast by the shape of the bone remains.

Do you use waterproof and sweat-resistant products?

I use waterproof where it matters, on mascara, liner and the eye contour, which is exactly the area that gives way first to emotion. On the rest of the face I go for a base that controls oil and perspiration and I set in layers, not with one spray at the end. Longevity comes from how the makeup is built, not from a label.

Do you do makeup for television, video or brand campaigns?

Yes. I did makeup at London Fashion Week for the Fragile collection by the designers Kolchagov Barba, I did the contestants and the host at Miss England, under strong lights and many cameras, and I worked with the jewellery brand OPAL on collection shoots. Makeup for the camera is built differently from makeup worn around town, especially when it comes to controlling reflection and texture.

What makeup styles do you do?

Natural and no makeup makeup, where skin stays skin, soft glam for events, glowy and dewy for light on the cheekbones, glass skin for a clean reflective complexion, bronzy for a warm look, classic or diffused smokey eyes, halo eyes with a bright centre on the lid, a wearable cut crease, and graphic makeup for shoots. I choose the style by your features, by the occasion and by the light you will be in.

Do you do makeup for a photo shoot or for photographs?

Yes. Makeup for a photo shoot is built differently from evening makeup, because the camera sees texture, not only colour. I work with thin layers, without products that flash back white. I work on portrait, personal branding, lookbook and product campaign shoots, plus editorial shoots. The price is set case by case.

Question 31

What should I put on my face before the appointment?

Accepted Answer

Ideally nothing. If you have a cream you use daily, you can apply it in the morning. I cleanse your skin before the makeup anyway. Come with a bare face, especially on the wedding day.

Question 32

How much is the deposit and how is the date held?

Accepted Answer

The deposit is 50% of the value of the service and it is what holds the date. I can put you in the diary without a deposit, but the booking is not confirmed: if someone else pays the deposit for the same date, the date goes to her. The deposit is not refundable, because from that moment I am left with a day I no longer book to anyone else. If the wedding is cancelled or moved to another date, we talk and find an option that works for both of us.
